I play Bass, harmonica and do vocal backing for the Doctor Pickup band.

Born into a family of musicians, sprinkled with folk music of various origins (Algeria, Arab, Andalusian, Kabyle),
Zahir began playing the harmonica at 12 years after discovering Bob Dylan.
Then came a folk period , before taking up the guitar and bass in 1976.
He was 16 when he gots the blues, playing with several groups.
Then it was back to basics, Zahir chaining concerts throughout France and abroad with several singers
(rai, kabyle, oriental music and other "world" music ensembles).
Always remaining inspired by the blues blues.

He joined Dr Pickup in 2009 and a new adventure begins.
